GTX 295 or 470 GTX

Specs: Windows XP, E4600 C2D/ OCZ 2GB 800mhz DDRII
Hi,
I currently have a XFX 8800GT and I'm going to
upgrade it soon and I wanted to know which
one is better between GTX 295 and 470 GTX. I
know that the 295 is just two GTX 275 put
together and 470 GTX is single GPU directX 11
card but which one has better performance. I
thought that since the 295 is dual GPU it
might be better than the 470 GTX. So I need
some help deciding.
Side note: I'm going to be using it for gaming.

I agree; but I just answered his question.

The cost of any of those cards will build me a new computer so you can imagine what I think of high end video cards in general..

I have a OCZ 700 watt with dual +12V rails with 25A each rail.
So I don't think my PSU would be a problem or would it?
So kuwese you recommend the dx 11 470 and the ATI equivalent
but then my questions remains that do these preform better than
the GTX 295 since thats a dual GPU for the same price since I
will be buying it locally.
