hi, wondering if th 'XFX 6600GT 128mb 128bit Dual DVI TVO AGP' grapics card would be compatible with my computer. it might sound stupid, but i have already bought an internal hard drive and the connections werent right. Any help appreciated! Dom

There are different types of HDDs (IDE, SATA, SCSI) & all use different connections. You should always check your motherboard specs for compatibility before buying anything.

As for the video card, without knowing what motherboard you have, it's impossible to answer your question. But be aware that a high end AGP card MUST connect directly to the power supply (PSU), so your PSU will have to be able to handle the extra load. Otherwise, your system will become unstable & you'll have all sorts of problems.

Post back with the make/model of your motherboard & also the specs for your PSU (brand name, total wattage, amperage on the +12v rails)

Well, that specific graphics card will at least plug into your comptuer if you have an AGP slot.

There are motherboard that don't have AGP and have PCI or PCIe x16 instead of AGP.

The next question once you know the card will plug into the motherboard is if the power supply is good enough to run the card.
