Hello people ,

I am sharath, from india,

I need some1 out there to solve my problem.

I recently brought a new system which has ASUS A8N-E motherboard (PCI Xpress slots) and Nvidia GeForce 6200 turbo cache (256 MB) PCI Graphic Card. (In which slot the graphic card has to be placed - the 1st slot which is blue or the others, please, tell me?)

My OS is Win XP (professional) with Service Pack 2 (need 2 to know is there any problem in installing service pack 2?).

I had this game NFS-Underground2, where i increased the resolution and texture details in the game display options and i couldn.t do anything, it was too slow couldn't do anything,(as if it is an onboard AGP card with 64mb ram in it) then i had to reset to default display and play the game.

I had to format my C: for some reason and now i installed the winxp and installed the motherboard

drivers and display drivers neither the sound nor the video is workin properly.(it jerks/stops in
between)

I need to step by step information on what has to be installed first after installing winxp.

Please, help me ASAP, i am not finding the problem for this.

regards,
sharath.

The GF6200 TurboCache is a weak, low end card...it's not much better than onboard video. If you plan on using your system for gaming, the video card will have to be upgraded. Adding another 512MB RAM will also improve gaming performance.

Your video card is PCI-Express (PCI-E) & goes in the uppermost blue slot...it won't fit anywhere else. And don't confuse PCI-X with PCI-E, they're two completely different things.

I don't know why your formatted but hopefully you installed all the latest drivers from nVidia.com...you should get the latest nForce motherboard drivers & the latest Forceware video drivers:

I fogot to mention...as long as you have a legal copy of WinXP, installing SP2 should be no problem.
