Solved Graphics Card showing annoying stuff.

Specs: Windows XP, Pentium4 3.20ghz; 1gb RAM
its hard to explain, but here it goes.

my graphics card is an nvidia geforce fx5200. the problem ive been having started in the summer. my screen would have these faded lines appearing on and off all the time. does anybody know how to fix this. this is really annoying!

Try the card in another system. If you still see the "annoying stuff", replace the card. The FX5200 is a crappy card anyway.

If u see the "annoying stuff" in post screen or BIOS then the card is bad but there are some repairs u can do.
-Underclock memory and GPU clock
-Baking the video card in oven

i never overclocked my memory and my gpu. but bake it in an oven?

I've read about it but never had to try it. Baking it in the oven supposedly allows the solder to soften & reposition itself to repair any poorly soldered connections.
