Graphics card recommendations?

Could anyone possibly suggest a PCI graphics card which would be compatible for my system, as the current Hercules Prophet 4000XT 64mb PCI card I have installed does not allow games to function correctly after I have recently upgraded my system's RAM to 512mb (which is ok to do according to my PC's manual & I've definitely installed the RAM modules correctly, as games work ok if I disable my graphics card). I have an Emachines 150DVD PC with a 1.2GHz Celeron processor. I figure that the graphics card is somehow not fully compatible with my particular PC (it states that this g.card has not been digitally signed by Microsoft-is this major cause for concern also?). I'm new to computing, and was wondering if anybody could recommend a compatible 64mb PCI g.card. Thanks.
