i recently buy a new computer. It was fine and working on the computer shop. when i come home i connected the computer to the LCd screen but it made the beep noise about 9 times so there was no signal to the LCD screen. So i return the computer shop and they found the fault which was the graphics card (gforce 6200 256 DDR)it short circuit and it was replace. I went home again and the same problem occurs. Spec (P4 HT 3.2 GHz, 200gp, DVD +/-R rewriter, graphics (gforce 6200 256). However the base unit was not tested with my 17 inch TFT when it was repaired but the monitor was fine because i use it with my old computer.

Have you checked the pins on the monitor cable? Might have a bent one. Have you talked to the Shop to see if they are willing to replace the card they installed? Might have a run on bad cards in their shop. Take your monitor down this time and have them test it with a new card. If it doesn't work have them test it with one of their monitors. Make sure you have them do this while your still there.

Before i buy it was tested with their monitors and when repair it was also tested with their monitors. Everything was fine i could see the windows xp screen Desktop. the vga pins could not be faulty because i use this with my old computer to run the 17inch TFT flat screen. I hope this time it will be fine.

Thank You for your suggestion.

Did you have them test the LCD (just a hunch)?

The problems was the graphics card they supply was corrupted. It seems to work for a when switch on but after a while it short circuits. The good thing now is they will replace with new supplied graphics card to see if it works and if it doesnt then they will build a new system :.)
