Hi- I recently upgraded my graphics card to an NVidia G Force 6600, 256 MB. I have a 430 watt output powersource. I was able to capture DV signal without problem with my old card, but now all capture programs freeze up and I have to reboot. Also, I can't run anything in Windows Media Player or other programs like Nero, RealPlayer, etc., but my son can run his large games, for which I bought the card. [Civilization 4, for example] I also added an external hard drive, a 320 GB Western Digital My Book at the same time I installed the graphics card. I have downloaded the latest drivers from NVidia. I have defragged all hard drives and scanned for viruses. I have uninstalled and reinstalled my primary video editing program. I am noticing the computer just running slower--it takes longer for programs to pull up and longer for pages to load on the Internet. Any ideas?
