OS: XP PRO
CPU/Ram: AMD2 4800/2GB
Comment:
I am about to get a GDDR3 graphic card and i am hesitating between a 256Mb one with 1400Mhz mem frequency and core of 540 MHz GPU and another 256Mb with 620MHz core and 1600MHz mem freq

oh and would it be better to get a PSU of 500w rather than 450w?

thanks for your help

You Cant compare graphics card solely by GPU and memory clocks alone. As for instance a 8800gts at 500gpu and 1.6ghz memory is NOT AT ALL beaten by the ATI x1950 at 621mhz and 1.8ghz memory. Unless the graphics cards are the same models for instance 8series cards? Also 250mb is unlikely to play the new titles coming out, on a large-ish screen anyhow
Psu should not be measure on the wattage and more on the amp age on the 12v rails mostly. Should look for at least dual rail 45+amps combined on the rails.
Good luck
