Hi, just recently i started getting an error message up. My comp hangs, and the pixelage goes huge, then it tells me theres been a system error, windows device failure - and to restart..
I am really stuck as to how to fix this.. is it something to do with the graphics card? Any suggestions on how to fix it would be appreciated..
My graphic card is old it's a 3dfx Voodoo3 using DirectX 9.0c

given how old the card is (and how hot voodoo3's get) it probably is the video card going. do you have another card yu can install as a test to be sure?

Does your VooDoo have a fan? Is it working? When's the last time you cleaned the dust from it?

Voodoos may be old an run hot, but they are usually quite relaible. are you suggesting that the fact that it is a Voodoo automatically means it is the graphics card, Mike? anyway, in this case it sounds like a)driver issue or b)the card is overheating. if it has a fan ensure it is working, and either way it won't hurt to dust blast it. do you have a case fan?
