Your system outdated...S478 single core P4, 533MHz FSB, AGP 4X, DDR266 RAM. Here's the motherboard.

I don't know what you mean by "latest games"? But if you mean games like Crysis, you're not gonna get them to play well on that system no matter how much you upgrade it. If you want better performance, add more RAM & go back to WinXP. If you want to install an AGP gaming card, make sure your power supply can handle the load, otherwise you're have to upgrade that as well. Here's a couple of cards to consider:

You should seriously consider buying a more up to date system with a dual core CPU, PCI-e graphics & 2-4GB DDR2 memory rather than investing in what you have.

Thank you for your advise. But right now i dont have sufficient budget to purchase a new pc. I prefer using nVIDIA card becoz they long last. I came across a few cards that probably supports my pc. nVIDIA 7600GS AGP,7600GT AGP and 8400gs which is a pci base card. So can u suggest which is much preferable.

The 7600GT is much faster than the 8400GS PCI. Probably a good 8x faster, because PCI is so slow.
