hi im having trouble running gta 3, whenever i start the game the options look like yellow lines or rectangles and its not possible to read anything , i have leadtek geforce 4 4400, got the latest drivers and tried some old drivers still the same thing, and alsoi got via 4 in 1 drivers, i reinstalled the game but still no luck. The game used to play just fine but havent played it in a while now and dont know whats wrong. I also got the patches. I remember having that same problem in beginning and fixed it somehow but dont remmeber how. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks and have a good day.

Try one of the game forums. It may be due to the patches or how to put them in. They can help you much better...

There is a patch for that specific problem, try updating the game to version 1.1

Try installing DirectX 9 if you haven't already.

when i try to load saved game it has an error, anunknown exception, so i decided to get the 1.1 update. the update doesnt work and when i tell them the directory i want updated it says there is no files to update there, but there is the whole game in that folder, what should i do?
