Specs: Windows XP
I have a nvidia model P805 card and
the connection isn't DVI, white but totally different, what is the conection on the card called

It is probably a DMS-59 output - you should have been supplied
with a splitter that attaches to it & gives DVI/VGA connections.

Yeah, I agree that it's probably a DMS-59. Looks like you have an nvidia Quadro card. Adapters are relatively expensive...$20-30. Unless you need the Quadro for some reason (professional workstation? CADD?), you'd probably be better off buying a new card.
