Specs: Windows 7
KindleFire Hd 8 4871900379 6
Or FSN D025A0A031930230. Both numbers on box. First is possibly serial or device number and 2nd. is possibly inventory number. They are not labeled.
Phone number is 518-383-XXXX. I thought this was wireless password but does not work. On phone for wireless info. was told they could not access this number.
When I try to connect on kindle keep getting message--unauthorized.

Try logging into Windows as the administrator. Then try accessing again. I assume this is a brand new unit without any data of yours on it yet?

The wireless password is a property of your wireless router so it should be obvious that it will not be printed anywhere on your Kindle HD.

Look underneath or at the back of your router for item called "Wireless key" or log in to the router's configuration utility using a wired network connection. The wireless key will be shown in the wireless section of the router's config utility.

OtheHill - the OP's problem has nothing to do with Windows.
He/She is trying to establish a wireless connection on his Kindle HD which runs Android, not Windows.

Phil, I should have Googled that model. I thought it was a wireless external hard drive (HD).

Yes I can see how the letters HD could be misleading - in this instance it stands for "High Definition". And I had the advantage over you since my wife has one of these!
