Anyone have experience with a wireless lapel mic; good or bad.
I'd rather pay more and get quality than waste money on junk.
Range is not an issue; about ten feet will do.
But sensitivity and sound quality are important.
TIA

Generally speaking, a lapel mike needs a range of less than one foot! In fact six inches will do!
You seem to be asking beyond the realm of we computer geeks, a HiFi specialist is whom you really should be asking.
I'm beginning to wonder about you M2, first you are blocked as a spammer, now you're going the 007! Q will design you a mike that doubles as a rocket launcher and is smaller than an average office block.
You're right though, there are a few people on this forum who have experience in the HiFi world. They will be along eventually. In the meantime I'll chuckle over my conspirecy theory.

Rimfire,
Good one. Cracked me up.
In case it wasn't all tongue in cheek...
Range from mic to sound card gizmo, NOT mic to mouth.
Don't need hi-fi; voice only covers about 2 to 6KC.
TIA

HI Mechanix. What you are looking for is called a lavalier microphone. There are several good ways of finding info about these. You can Google the word lavalier and it will give you lots of sites to get these from. Before you order on line though, have a look in your local phone book for professional audio stores and music stores (the kind that sell musical instruments, not CD's). Then go have a look at what they offer. Then if you find something online at a btter price then the store can offer, buy it there.

Glad you enjoyed that as much as I did!
I think the missing keyword here is 'bluetooth'. Google that along with microphone and you'll find a wide range of available products.
I'd imagine that there would not be a great deal of varience in sound quality. The main difference seems to be durability and the unavoidable dorkiness.

I have a wireless set up I got from Radio Shack a while back. The lapel mic is so tiny you have to look close to see it. Good cardiod pickup pattern. The transmitter clips to your belt and runs on a 9volt battery. Goes for hours. The receiver is multi channel and has very few dead spots. I think I gave around 100 for it.
I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid...
