Comment: I know for a fact the soundcard is fine, I tested in another computer and it worked, and in device manager it shows my hardware as working. The problem is that it says under "other devices" that "Multimedia Audio Controller" is not working. I tried reinstalling it and updating it but to no avail. I downloaded all the latest drivers, and even tried rolling back but it didnt work. My question is if the problem could be my motherboard because i found a fly in my case, and i think it landed on the mobo and fried a small part of it (killing the fly lol). I need to know if I need to buy another motherboard to get my sound back. thank you for your help!

Reply: (edit)How did you run your sound before? Onboard sound? if so you may need to disable the onboard sound.

Reply: (edit)hey even if ur sound is bad u can disable if it onboard/ remove card if it is one and buy a new/better sound card for u. remove the fly and test ur devices if they work fine. best of luck
