Gigaware optical mouse not working

I just replaced my optical mouse with a wireless Gigaware optical mouse. It worked yesterday, when I rebooted, turned on the mouse, it would not control the cursor. I tried rebooting, still did not work. Lights on both the USB device and mouse were lit.
