I was wondering what the difference was between the GA-8KNXP and the GA-8KNXP Ultra. I have been looking but I cannot find a difference... except for the price. What makes the Ultra 100 bucks more expensive?
Any comments on the boards would be great. Thanks!

Hi Rob

If you check the Gigabyte sight you will find that the ultra board has and ON Board SCSI drive capability in built. A very expnsv piece of equipment.

I have the 8IEXP board with 2 WD 10k RPM Raptor drives runing on raid 0 setup. These boards just rock.

You wont be sorry if you het one, Just remember you will need a darn good power supply.

Good Luck

Janos

thanks Janos!
but I dont think Ill be spending that much on the scsi drives... ill stick with the ATA drives... and by the time the scsi prices come down, Ill just get a new board.
