Hey, i have a geforce 4 ti4200 4x 64mb version. It is the PNY one, and has mad heatsinks. Every piece of ram on it has a heatsink, and a huge fan. I can't seem to play warcraft 3 and MOH. If i was to rate myself on pc knowelge, i know about as much as the PC techs at CP&L (my dad works there). Um, when i enter warcraft 3, my screen imiadatly freezes, and shows the background (rocks), then about 10seconds later the grass, and so on, very slow. ON medal of honor the same thing. I have run this in my Compaq 700mhz Duron/512mb ram, with 80gb 8mb cache hd drive, and pretty much maxed out for about 1 year, and the games worked perfectly. Then, i build a new pc, and i installed it in there. I tried DX8, DX9, all the latest and oldest drivers for everything just in case, and even on the lowest graphic settings. I have even tried everything in the bios. THe games didn't work. Then i bought a 9600pro ati, popped that sucker in, and it works. So, i needed then i stuck the GF4 back into the Compaq, and the games never worked. I did everything imaginable. I then stuck in a old Vanta LT 8mb Nvidia card, and the games worked fine. SO then i installed a GF2 MX400 64mb, and the games ran fine. Then i put in the GF4 ti again, and the games didn't work. What the heck is wrong? I have never overclocked it. I can't seem to contact PNY, since there automated phone service keeps on repeating a single question, and when it is supposed to be about returns, so i can't contact them. They don't seem to have an e-mail address, so i can't throught there either. Can anyone tell me there e-mail address? OR, can you tell me the problem and how to fix it? Whew, long typing. Thanks for all the help in advanced. Thanks- Zack

I understand what zachery is writing about. Could it be your reading comprehension?

Anyway, zachery copy this link and paste it into your browser. I should take you to a PNY page where you can email their support, or click on a link there to set up an exchange for the card.

Good luck.

Hey, thanks for the link. I tried to give a good description but sorry. HEre is the basics, starting from the first thing i tried to the last.
1. Installed it in my Compaq (old pc) around December 2002 (a year ago)- IT ran games fine.
2. Got new pc jan 2003, and put it in the new pc. Played games fine for about six months, then i didn't play games for about another 3 months. Got back on games, and it stopped working, the games froze.
3. Bought new Radeon 9600pro, and put in old pc. Oct 2003
4. Put GF4Ti4200 back in old pc- didn't work
5. Tried a Nvidia Vanta LT 8mb in old pc, and the games worked fine.
6. Tried a Nvidia GF2 MX400, in old pc, and games worked fine.
7. Tried again GF4Ti4200, and it didn't work.

The purpose of this question is to try to find the problem, since i don't want to get rid of a $200 Graphic Card, and plus, i am 15, so that is a lot of money for me. I contacted pny, but can you all help me, since they may take a while? Thanks- Zack

All the games freeze. would having a too weak power supply be it? In the older compaq, it has a 180watt PSU. I heard 300watts are the min? Is that true? My new PC has 400watt PSU - Zack
