Hey guys,
You fellas seem to know your stuff when it comes to helping me out w/ what I can't figure out. I've got a question that is seemingly dumb, but I'll be damned if I can figure it out. How do I get into the CMOS on my Netvista? It's a model 6269-EHU (A20) And there's nowhere during post (I don't even see post) to hit del/f1/tab/whatever, all I get is the "hit f11 for product recovery" I've looked all over the IBM website, and I can't figure this out. I really wish my company would buy decent computers.
Thanks for your help
-Mike

hello try
hitting the delete or f1 f2 f3 f4 f5 f8 f9
do this even befor you see any thing.you can set a bios delay for post in bios after you get in. it will make it easyer the next time.

Actually Dave,
When looking through past posts on here, a response that you gave to someone else about how to get into bios helped me find the answer. You posted a huge list of bios mfg's and their various ways of entering bios, and the one on there for IBM PS/2 kinda worked for me, except after pressing ctrl+alt+ins, I had to quickly press f1. Took me about 5 or 6 tries, but I finally got it....sneaky b---tards.
Thanks a lot
-Mike

I went to the IBM website and looked the user manual for your machine. It says to completely shut down the computer(don't use ctrl-alt-del). Hold down f1 and start the computer. That should get you into Setup unless it is password protected in which case you will have to enter the password.

Ya know, maybe that's why the ctrl-alt-ins +f1 worked. come to think of it I did keep just pushing the button (I was rather frustrated at this point, and if it breaks, I'll have an excuse for them to buy me a new POS). Either way, After going in once, I've managed to slow down post so much that I could go make lunch, come back, and still have a chance to press f1 to get to cmos.
I looked through that book, I couldn't find anything, you must be more patient than I at looking. Thanks a lot for the effort!
-Mike
