hi all!
i have come across a laptop that is real cheap (i can get it at the local staples for $397 canadian).
is $397 Canadian dollars a good price for a laptop like this? i don't use it for much. the one at the store is the last one, and it's brand new, never used, sealed in a box

Link is now working. If the screen size will work for you it seems to be a good price. It isn't state of the art by any means but laptops were never intended to be. I'm in the USA. If the current exchange rate is about 82 cents CAD per US dollar then that comes out to about $325 US. You can't buy much for that. It is Centrino, which is good. Makes the battery last longer.

all the better!
i've bought it from my local staples, and i get an employee discount cuz i work there. :D :D :D
but now that i have it, i have a question:
after the bios splash screen, it displays a message that says "Press F10 to start Recovery" how do i disable this? it flashes the message for like 7 seconds, and when i turn on the laptop, i want to use it, not wait for a recovery thing to go away
Right you are if you think you are

You may need to enable fast boot in the BIOS screens. Seven seconds isn't very long. Don't be so impatient. The time might come that you will need to perform a recovery and you won't remember how to do it. I suggest you leave the screen alone.
