How do I get my HP Deskjet 712C to work with a new computer running Windows 7 Home Premium? HP does not provide drivers for Win 7.

No but they do have the driver for vista and vista 64 bit, try the appropriate one for you....find out if you have 64bit windows 7 or 32 and use the vista driver. They also have a driver wizard you can try. Right clicking on "computer" and selecting Properties will bring up a page that shows you 32 or 64bit, under system.

I was not able to get any help from choosing a driver for Vista. It tells me that the driver is already in Windows 7 and it should install automatically. I went to Control Panel, Devices and Printers, Add new printer, and was able to find a 710C Driver under HP, but when I tried to print a page from Word or a test page, nothing happened. Now I don't know whether it's the driver at fault or whether the computer can't communicate with my printer. The printer only has a parallel port and the computer only has USB ports for printers, so I have them connected with an adapter that has USB on one end and the parallel pin end on the other end. Do you think this is the problem?
