Comment:

this dvd writer will burn dvds perfectly (test them out in diffrent system). However, when i try to read a dvd with it, it crashes explorer.

I got the drivers updated to the latest and even the firmware. I ran a cleaning disc through it and still the same issue.

any suggestions besides surgery (my record for that is about 3/8... thats only 3 successful lol)?

what type of dvd are you trying to read? a dvd that you burned? or a dvd movie that you bought?

I have a dvd-rw drive in my computer that just does not like games or dvds. It burns fine. Its a sony dvd-rw, came with the factory build, so its probably a A-open generic with the sony name slapped on it...

Anyway, I got a dvd-rom for $30 and it fixed all my problems....

But i guess back to the poitn, what type of dvd are you trying to read?
And does your computer have the software for that type?
