If u have a MOBO that has FSB of 2600 HT and a CPU of 2000 HT do u have 600 extra to play with. Also if u have a 1000 HT MOBO and a 2000 HT CPU then is the CPU only operating at 50%?

You're still not getting it. ALL current AMD CPUs run at 200MHz frequency & there is no FSB. The HyperTransport bus (aka, Lightning Data Transport or LDT) replaced the FSB. The HT bus runs at 1000MHz...it's sometimes referred to as 2000MHz because the bus is DDR.

There is no such thing as "2600 HT".

Basically what I am asking is this Motherboard I am looking at reads
2600MHz Hyper Transport (5200 MT/s)
and the CPU I am looking at reads
2000MHz Hyper Transport. That means the Motherboard is 600MHz different. What does that affect in either capabilities and Overclocking.

I don't know where you're getting that info from but either it's written improperly or you're misunderstanding it.

Could it be the motherboard is listed at eBay? Post a link.

I already explained to you that the HT bus runs at 1000MHz but it is sometimes referred to as 2000MHz because the bus is DDR. MT/s = Megatransfer per second, but for our purposes, it's the same as DDR 2000MHz, which is the same as 1000MHz.

It does NOT say "2600MHz Hyper Transport (5200 MT/s)" anywhere in the CPU description.

The CPU descript calls the bus "2000MHz"...the motherboard descript calls the bus "1000MHz Hyper Transport (2000 MT/s)". As I explained above, they are the same thing!!

You're looking for a problem that isn't there.

You need to do some reading:

For your AMD system? DDR2-800, CAS 4.

But you already have 2GB DDR2-800? Is that RAM CAS 4? Since your BIOS doesn't provide any memory settings, the RAM will ALL run at the highest CAS that you have. In other words, if the 2GB you have is CAS 5 & you add 2GB CAS 4, all 4GB will run as CAS 5.
