I've recently installed a Jetway GeForce4 Ti 4400 card, however I'm somewhat dissapointed with the performance. Most tests seem to show the card underperforming when compared to even the slower GeForce4 Ti 4200. I also notice significant slowdows in games like Medal of Honor (1024x768) and Mafia. I have installed the last 3 versions of detonator drivers but they didn't seem to make much difference. Any ideas? My system is:
Athlon XP1900+ on a ABIT KR7A Motherboard
256DDR (2100) RAM
2 Hard Disks
CD writer, and a DVD ROM Drives
Creative AudioPCI cardThanx!!!

Go to www.viaarena.com and download/install the latest version of the VIA chipset drivers.
I have a pny 4400 and I'm running a 1 gig duron and 512mb ram and I have not had problems with any games so far running 1024x768 at max settings.
Also make sure you have updated creative drivers and double check the resources on it to make sure that it is not using the same irq as anything else. I think, in general, there has been a long standing issue with creative sound cards and nvidia products.
For s---s and giggles, take out your sound card and try playing the games without it to see what happens.

I've installed the new Via drivers, but like the Soundblaster drivers, they haven't really made much difference at all, however before installing the two, I have removed the soundcard to find some improvement of framerates in Medal of Honor. The framerates still circle around the 30fps-40pfs area, and particular slowdows, or more accurately pauses (lasting about 1 second)were noticable at times. I don't seem to understand this, the 256 of system RAM and 128 in the card should provide a decent performance when running without any other programs except the Windows XP services. Are there any programs that could identify the problem?
