Go online to Nvidia.com and download the latest drivers. For some reason that card seems to be bugged. I see alot of similar questions on computing regarding the same problem as you. The fact of the matter is that the new Geforce Fx series by Nvidia are really are bad. The old Ti series such as the Ti4200 and Ti4600 were the best. After the introduction of the Fx series Nvidia in my opinion went down hill. Go get yourself a good cheap Ati card. I have gone through and upgraded from three different models and ive had no problems. Hope i helped info wise.

Element, the FXs aren't all bad. The 5800 was bad, not even beating ATI's Radeon 9700 when it was released, but the 59[05]0s are much better. The 5200 is a low quality card, as I understand, much like the GeForce 4 MXs. I think nVidia is currently trying to integrate 3dfx technology, and that's why they've been having some trouble with the FXs. Plus, I have to give nVidia credit for good Linux and FreeBSD drivers.

Fellow Jake, is this be a Windows-specific problem? My guess is yes, and you may have better luck in the XP forum.
