i am thinking about buying a geforce 7300, its only $99, since this isnt a high end performence video card, do i need a new power supply unit ?
could i possibly give it a try ? if i do try it will it cuase any damage ?
Don't do it! The 7300 is a weak piece of crap! And why the heck would you pay $99 for it? They sell for about $50 or less online. There are plenty of DECENT cards that sell for $99 (or less). For example:
what makes you think you'll need a new PSU? How about posting the specs to your system & be sure to include the make/wattage of your current PSU. If you don't know what it is, open the case...you'll see a label on the PSU that will have the brand name, wattage & amperages. How many amps are on the +12v?
BTW, why do you want to upgrade your video card? I didn't notice earlier, but I see you're running Vista....
