GeForce 2 TV out (S-Video) problems

I have a GeForce 2 with TV Out and I regularly watch DVDs by connecting the card to my Sony TV via S-Video. It worked fine for over a year. However, the last time I hooked up the cable and did the "clone" thing on the NVIEW I get no picture. In fact when I go to "video 1" on the sony (just like I have for the past year) there is just static and the tv jumps between "S-video" mode and "video-1". I am not doing anything different than I did last week. I unfortunately don't have anything else to plug into either the TV or the Video Card so I don't know which end is the problem, or maybe its the cable. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Don't know what the problem is, but I just bought a new computer with a geforce mx440 with tv out. I can't get a picture on my sony tv at all when I play a dvd, just get a blank screen. How did you get it to work the first time? What's the clone thing?
