Specs: Windows 7, Intel i3-2120 processor
Trying to install, GE Force GT 710 graphic card in HP Pavilion p7-1110 PC running Window 7
Manufacture date Sept. 2011, Card plugs in slot on mother board, fan for chip is on, no signal from, VGA, HDMI or DVD-D. With card installed, no signal from the internal mother board VGA socket. PC will not boot and PC monitor detects no signal. Remove graphics card system boots normally, VGA socket and monitor detects signal. PC operation normal.
Question, how to install GE Force GT 7100 Graphics Card in HP Pavilion p7-1110 PC?
Research has shown a possible BIOS conflict, is there any way around problem.
Is there any way of generating a HDMI signal from p7-1110PC?

Thank you

Enter the BIOS, disable the onboard, change display to PCIE. Save & exit.

"With card installed, no signal from the internal mother board VGA socket"

That's normal since the BIOS automatically disables the iGPU when a PCI/PCIe GPU is detected.

It also proves that you don't have to change anything in the BIOS as the necessary changes have already been made automatically.

It's possible that the existing PSU isn't powerful enough (amps or volts, or both) to drive the GT 710, not unusual on a factory-built PC. It can drive the fans but not the graphics processor itself.

I doubt it. The GT 710 is a low end/entry level card that only draws 19W. Maybe the card is a dud, then again, it would be a dud even if it worked, lol.
