Ok, I'm going totally mad here, so I need some serious help.

Have a GA-870A-UD3(rev. 2.1) mobo, have bench tested it with a 750w PSU, AMD Phenom II x6 1090T black CPU, 8GB 1333 Corsair RAM. and have got jack out of it. No power going to anything other than the CPU fan.

The CPU, VGA, PSU work perfectly in another mobo and have tried with another CPU with the same results. This is the second board I've had but have got the same results. According to the G'Byte website the CPU is comaptable... but after many hours I seriously wonder.

Does anyone else have some insight on this?

Your post is unclear. Were you able to boot the Gigabyte board with a different CPU or not? Could it be the BIOS? The X6 requires version F4.

Sorry, no. Neither of the CPU's managed more than spinning the CPU fan. If I could get it booted then I could check the BIOS, but so far nothing.

It clearly states on the G'byte website that it supports both CPU's, and even if the BIOS needed updating I'd surely be able to get something.
