Gateway Recovery

I am trying to use the recovery option on this Gateway notebook. It runs the destructive recovery, then reboots, then goes to the Windows XP setup screen, then freezes half way through that process. I ordered the recovery cd and tried that with no luck either. I went into bios and changed them so that it boots from the cd drive, but it will not do that. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure you ordered the correct disks?

There is more than one 7300 model.
