Game stops working after driver update.

A month before, I got a blue screen error involving my nv4_disp.dll every time I play games. That problem was solved after updating my video card driver.
But after that, both Call of Duty 4 and GTA:SA stopped working. CoD 4 will display a splash screen and that's it, nothing else. GTA:SA on the other hand, will display a "has encountered a problem and needs to close" error.
GTA:SA was the ONLY game that didn't get the nv4_disp.dll crash. After the update, everything else worked perfectly except these for these 2 games.
