Solved game dvd not recognised

Specs: Windows 7, pentium d 2.66 ,ram 2 gb
today i bought a game DVD but when i tried to install a game and inserted the DVD nothing happened
i tried to make a image of the DVD using Nero essential but it showed no disc what to do i wasted all my money in that dvd so please help

do other dvd'd work ? if yes try the dvd on another computer if still the same result return the disk and ask for another one

Hi Abhishek,

you advise you have a Pentium, is it possible:-

a) you have a cd drive - if so it will not read dvd's


b) the dvd is for a different region to yours and cannot be read.

Chinmaya - do not understand your short response. Please can you edit to clarify.

I've noticed on the few Win7 systems I've worked on that AutoPlay is disabled. I don't know if that's typical or I've just been "lucky". Go to Start > Control Panel > Hardware & Sound > AutoPlay & change the settings for each type of media, then click Save. Of course, if you don't have a DVD player/burner or it's defective, there's no way the disk will be recognized.

Sorry friends that dvd was damaged because i tried it on other computers but the same result
