which card will perform better old Geforce Fx5200 or Intel’s new GMA 900. Reason I am asking this Is, I am thinking of buying a laptop to run Engineering applications (ProE) and they work OK on my desktop with FX5200. will they also work on GMA 900 cause I don’t wanna spend lot of money for a laptop with a proper 3d card.

inte's GMA 900 is 2x better then their extreme graphics editions, but they aren't anything to wow about either for a IGP. go with an ATX x300 mobile it's 2x better then the GMA 900 and out preforms the GMA 950. Intel's next generation IGP's will be redone and will be a lot better preformance wise then the GMA series was. The only IGP chip close enough to resemble a decent graphics card is the nvidia 61xx series. These IGp chips even outpreform the 5200 and 5500 FX series graphic cards.
