Specs: Windows XP
hi i have a Fujitsu t4215 that has intermittent problems with the touchscreen not working in parts of the screen, but only while using remote desktop. used to be i see this isolated to a 1-2inch square usually around the R upper corner (but not fully in the corner), today its a huge 6x8in rectangle that doesn't work. using the touch pad moves the mouse and clicks like normal. using the stylus, I can get the mouse to appear if I click(touch the screen) and drag, but it won't register any mouse movement if its not being dragged from the outer area that works.

and when I leave remote desktop, everything works fine.

if it matters, i'm remoting to a server running win server 2003 from my laptop running xp sp3.

I'd assume that your session and your real display are not the same or that you mean that your session is locking out your main display.

Try this. Maximize the RDP session and see if it all works correctly.
