Reply: (edit)Call fujitsu and be prepared to provide proof of ownership of the unit. laptop bootup passwords are not reset by either removal of CMOS battery nor by any reset jumper on motherboard. You may need to send the unit to an authorised tech to get it done. I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.

Reply: (edit)If you are talking about the HDD lock password, then yes this is not something the CMOS battery or a motherboard jumper can reset. Goodluck contacting Fujitsu, hopefully they get you sorted out, but if that method falls through - you may be looking at a steeply priced help from a third party company.

Reply: (edit)Thanks for the advice Richard59, I was hoping to save the expense in sending the unit to Fujitsu. In anwsering Sabertooth, it is a Panel Security lock and not a siftware lock. Thanks guys for the help.
