Hi,

I just received a used Fujitsu Lifebook S Series and it was missing its CD/DVD-drive. It turns on but all I hear are three beeps and nothing else. Nothing appears on the screen. I suspect it won't boot up due to no CD/DVD-drive.

Does anyone know of a way to override this or is this a safety feature in Fujitsus that can't be bypassed?

Thanks,
Todd

Getting the three beeps can be a good sign. It means that your motherboard is working to some extent. The beeps 'probably' indicate a memory or graphic adapter problem.

The missing CD/DVD drive is not the problem.

I feel like such an idiot. I never checked it completely. It was missing RAM! Now it works. Thanks for the help!
