Can anyone tell me where EXACTLY the FSB Jumper is on a motherboard and EXACTLY how to set it from 100 mhz to 133 mhz? I don't know what kind of motherboard I have, let alone have a manual for it. If I need to find out what type of motherboard I have how do I go about doing that? And will the manufacturer's website help me in any way (usually, in my experience, they don't)? Any online image guides would be a great help. And please, no RTFM's. Keep in mind that I probably won't understand very technical terms. Thanks.

The jumpers are different between each company. and each board. Look on the board it should have a Modle number. write that down and then search for it on google it should pop up with the info for it. UNLESS you might have a problem if its a OEM mobo such as if you bought a premade system from like HP or Compaq most of the time you have to go to their site for any info on the board. also if it is premade their site should tell you what the mobo is. Some company sites have good info on jumpers some dont Asus has Pretty good pictures of the jumper setting and to do with them.

the manufacturer website will have an online manual for you to download, and a search on the word jumper or fsb will take you right to a picture of it. I would never say RTFM, but yeah you totally do need to RTM.

So you need to know what mobo you have. Belarc Advisor is freeware that may tell you. Otherwise you need to get out a flashlight and examine the board for markings. The model number is on there somewhere, usually right in the middle of the board. A simple google search on whatever you find will tell you the manufacturer.

The jumper could be anywhere, assuming there even is one.

Jumpers are becoming obsolete. Most settings are made in the Bios of newer boards.
