I just got an ASYS case with front panel audio jacks and my mother board is an ECS 848P-A. My question is that the front audio case header has 2 Ground wires, but the MB only has 1 Gnd connection. I'm guessing that i just leave 1 unplugged. I did that and the sound works but theres some static coming out of the speakers, especially when i turn the sound way up. Also the MB connection are labeled as AUD_FPOUT_R , im guessing thats Right output and thers also AUD_RET_R, im guessing thats Right Input. Anybody know if im doing anything wrong? Thanks

Don't know about the MOBO labeling... consult your MOBO's websight for that.
But the running and grounding of audio cables, especially low level cables, has to be done right or you will pick up electro magnetic interference.
First, a ground is a ground, is a ground. In other words, it doesn't matter where you hook the grounds, just as long as they are grounded somewhere along the grond traces on the mobo. Both ground wires can be hooked to the same ground location on the mobo. If there is only one plug, then splice the 2 ground wires together and plug them both in to the same mobo plug.
Second, if the audio cables are pretty long then you should be using shielded cable. Make sure the cables are run as far away from the electronics as possible, especialy the power supply and its wiring. Do not bundle the audio lines up with the rest of the wiring to the front panel, instead run it separately.
Do this and you should notice a large drop in the static coming through the speakers.

This recent thread:

is for a different motherboard but it may help.

Thanks for the help i ended up just plugging the extra GND wire into a gnd pin of the AUX audio connector.
