Comment:

I have a dell 4550 W/IED hd 60gb and I just added a IED 80gb I had in an old 2100 my son had junked, so I just used the hd in mine, just for storage I guess. So everything went fine ( 20 min ).It's in Disk Management, working great. I have been putting new pics from camera on all day but for the life of me I can't seem to move any of my old files over to the new HD, just to store them. If anyone can help, please do so. Both HDs have X/P Home. Thanks, ADVENGER

First create a folder with an appropriate name(like Dads photos). Then you can highlight a file or series of files and then right click to get a drop down menu. Using copy to make a copy then left click the target folder and select paste. Then after verifying the file/s are actually copied you can delete the originals.

More tips, left click the beginning of a row of files to be copied while holding the shift key. Then click the last file you want to copy and the entire row inbetween the two you clicked will be highlighted. Right click anywhere on the highlighted files and choose what action to take. Paste is the same as above. If you want to randomly pick multiple files to highlight then use the control key while clicking them.
