Do you have "show hidden files & folders" enabled?

Also, is c drive a separate hard drive or just a partition on a larger hard drive? If a separate drive the actual capacity of a 20GB hard drive would be about 18.6GB.

1. Reboot and scan the HD using an XP CD. Could be simply miss reporting the available size.

2. make sure you have "show hidden files and folders" along with "show system files" enabled. Then check the properties of the documents and settings folder.

3. reduce system restore size down to 200mb's

PowerMac 9600(1 ghz G4)
512mb RAM
50gb SCSI
ATi 9200 PCI

Thanks All. Documents & Settings was the culprit. I found this trick START > RUN > "." opens this so I could do the needful.
