how i want to install my vista window to xp.My problem is i cant format my hard disk and the screen cannot open welcome to windows xp.pls help me,tq

Are your system specs good enough for Vista? If you only have 512MB RAM, you're wasting your time.

If you don't have at least 1GB RAM, abandon the Vista idea & reinstall XP. If you insist on Vista, all you have to do is boot off the Vista CD/DVD, format & install.

Personally, I don't know why you'd want Vista but what you *should* have done was keep XP, repartition the HDD & install Vista in the 2nd partition.
