Are your system specs good enough for Vista? If you only have 512MB RAM, you're wasting your time. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/... If you don't have at least 1GB RAM, abandon the Vista idea & reinstall XP. If you insist on Vista, all you have to do is boot off the Vista CD/DVD, format & install. Personally, I don't know why you'd want Vista but what you *should* have done was keep XP, repartition the HDD & install Vista in the 2nd partition.
