Do you have another computer already connected to it? If so look at the properties for that connection, it will show you what the password is.

If #1 fails and you do not have it written down then you can download the full manual on the mfg's website and follow the directions for a full reset. Then you will need to set it up as you did when it was new including setting a new password for settings, network Name and passcode for logging in. Then write it all down, maybe on the manual if printed or somewhere secure.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

If you used the settings as when delivered very possobily the router's SSID and the access key (password as so often incorrectly called) may be on a sticker on the base or rear of the router.

The manual can be downloaded here:

There will be a section about wifi setup, and in that section and also earlier on there will be ip address to login to router's homepage/management.

Once there you navigate to wifi security and the access key (as set at present) will be displayed there.

Write it down, stick a note on rhe router; also email the info to yourself and leave a copy of the email on the server.

Do you recall how to access the router settings, because your pass phrase (or wireless key) can be found in there?

To access these settings you put a series of numbers and dot (the IP) into the address bar of your browser. These are typically something like If you have not changed the router access username and password they are commonly either blank or admin. As given above, the manual will help. If you Reset the router then the access details will restore back to what it gives in the manual.

I've never tried it but this program, run on the computer, claims to find it:
Nirsoft freebies are safe and usually work.

The other way forward is to Reset the router then set a new password

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
