|My laptop runs Vista Home Premium. I attach an external hard-drive from WD on which I store video files, music, pictures, etc. Recently I was working on removing the background from one of the pictures but an error message told me the path to the picture did not exist. I tried to go to the folder only to find that it and several other folders had been converted to 32kb files. When I open the file in notepad, it lists the names of all the MPG, JPG, etc. that were in the folder before the mysterious conversion. The other wierd thing is after transferring all the other folders from this HDD to a new one and deleting them, the HDD properties still show 132GB used even though no files are on the disk. |
I would like to recover the movie files especially since they were of my kids' sporting events, school concerts, birthdays, etc. Any thoughts or solutions would be appreciated very much.
