floppy disk drive cannot copy dos files
'16 bit ms-dos subsystem'
'the system is not suitable for running ms-dos & microsoft windows applications'.
please help

OK, I don't understand how a 64 bit OS can know or even care if a file is DOS when it's only being copied but I don't have a similar system to test with. You're doing that from command prompt. Have you tried just dragging the files to the floppy from the desktop?
Does the floppy need to be formatted?
Can I assume you have a 64 bit OS? Try dosbox.
1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.
Are you trying to just copy the files--which shouldn't be a problem--or running/executing the files?
both.
i cant enter the dos program & i cant copy files to oms..
c>oms>copy *.dbf a:
So at the c:\oms> prompt you type copy *.dbf a: and what happens? Do you get some kind of error message? That should copy all the files with a dbf extension in the c:\oms directory to the a: drive.
i get the message of the original question..'floppy disk drive, etc.
16 bit,etc.
