flickering screen, dual screen scro

Packard bell / IMEDIA X2422

Specs: Windows Vista, intel core 2 quad Q6600/
i have recently installed a new grafics card, a radeon HD 4850 and installed the latest drivers, with a view to use a dual screen setup. they work perfectly, exept that when i scroll down a page with my mouse wheel on my primary monitor, my secondary one flickers. if i scroll too much on the other screen, my entire system reboots for some reason. this also happens somtimes whilst i am using the catalyst controll center to configure my system. the secondary screen also flickers randomly somtimes when im not doing anything.
can anyone help?

The grafics card was a radeon HD 4850 with 512 mb gddr3 memory.
the power supply was a new 450 watt bottom spec.

all the rest of the hardware came with the computer, a packard bell imedia x2424

Hi Folks,

U need to increase your power supply if you are using monitor + laptop.
You can buy 120W Kinsington AC/DC adaptor from any local reseller or ebay. It should not cost you more than $45. Just plug that adaptor to ur laptop and say bye bye to flickering...

Cheers!!

I have a 4670 on XP which flickers the second monitor, but only when its being overclocked. Try turning off ATI Overdrive in Catalyst and see if that helps.
