Gvision model L5ax turn on and stays lit for 1 or 2 seconds then goes black until powered off and on then goes black again after 1 or 2 seconds. please help!
Is the computer a newly assembled one? Post all the specs for the computer including power supply and graphics card.
Disconnect the monitor from the VGA/DVI port but connect it to power.
Try to turn it on. You should be able to get to it's on-screen display settings screen and/or get an onscreen message about Signal out of range.
If the thing is still showing the same "Off after 2 seconds" behavior then the problem is in the monitor and probably in it's powersupply.Unless it is under warranty I'd suggest replacement.

Have the same problem regularly with an Acer notebook and a Hyundai LCD. Changing resolutions or switching from Clone to Extend will always show the desktop for 2 seconds, then it goes black again. Even the OSD won't come up.
Solution here: In the ATI Catalyst Control Center, go to the "Desktops & Displays" section. Select the second display and deactivate it (Right-click on Icon, then Deactivate).
After that, set it to the desired mode (e.g. Extend). (Again, Right click, then "Extend").This works for me every time.
