Ok just bought a used computer. and then in an auction a flat screen. plugged it into my gateway...it just flickers for a second on and then bam off. if im real patient I might then see for an instant xp page (start up page) and bam off again...what s the problem..my wire or its broken....paid 15$ so I guess i might have got screwed but thought maybe someone here can tell me. BTW used my wires from my other regular screen....could that be it? Wires conform to a standard so unless you were having trouble w/ them before that isn't the issue. Check the monitor on another computer or check your computer with another monitor. You should be able to figure out if it's the monitor or the computer failing that way. Good luck.
