I would like to buy a flash drive to store jpgs & other files. Can anyone recommend a brand that is at least 2gb & connects to USB 2.0. Thanks.

You can't go wrong with the something like the Store 'n' Go Pro from Verbatim ;-)

Don’t spend two dollars to dry clean a shirt. Donate it to the Salvation Army instead. They’ll clean it and put it on a hanger - Next morning buy it back for seventy-five cents.

Micki:
Newegg has many 4gb USB 2.0 flash drives that start at about $70, along with their respective user reviews. I have an A-Data PD8 (currently $75 w/free shipping Newegg) that I got from them about 4 months ago. Since I got the cap "loosened" up it has been great. I have used it on about 30 different Windows and Linux systems and had no recognition problems. It is the most reliable of the 5 USB flash drives I have. Physically I have "sat" on it many times/hours (I keep it in my back pocket at work.) with no ill effects. It is compact, so it does not block nearby usb ports. The only thing I can verify that "some" people may have a problem with is that it does not allow you to place the cap on the back of the drive while in use. Your post reminded me that I wanted to get another. I will be ordering another when I get done with this post.

4gb USB flash drive? You better think twice. Read...
Fragmentation issues could deal a blow as drive capacity increases

IMO fragmentation has wlways been over rated as a cause for concern. There are people who mistakenly believe it can cause system problems. Fragmentation can slow a system down 'slightly', but not enough to cause any real problems.
Do yourself a favor BACKUP!
