Comment:

I purchased a new flash drive about 3 months ago (Lifetime Memory 4GB drive). The other day when I plugged it into the computer, nothing happened. I couldn't find the drive on the computer anywhere and couldn't access the files.

The only thing that I can think of that happened between now and then that may have affected it would have been a power outage. My computer shut off while the flash drive was plugged in.

Is there any way to recover the data that is on the drive?

I'm sorry, I should have been more clear. I've tried several computers and nothing happens. The light (on the flash drive itself) comes on, but the computers don't seem to register anything.

I should also mention that I have another flash drive that doesn't give me any trouble in the computer that I am using.

You can see the OEM site for any diag tools. Many of the flash companies offer some applications to recover drives and data. If not then look to other tools, some advertised here.

May be power outage has hampered your Flash Drive.
I think its hard for software’s to determine the real problem in your SSD and the only solution I can give is to consult the Data Recovery Experts.
