flash drive not recognized

we got a "super flash drive" and it was working fine. then we put it in the usb slot of a friend's pc and at that point it was no longer recognized. so we took it back and got a new one. then we put it in the same usb drive that seemingly ruined it before. no computer i've tried it on recognizes it. i've tried finding drivers for the flash drive but no luck. is this something i can fix or should i consider it a loss?
